"Nuvole": the Florentine short film inspired by Antonio Tabucchi
“Nuvole” is an independent short film that pays tribute to the works of Antonio Tabucchi, twelve years after his passing. Inspired by a short story by the Tuscan author, the film explores the encounter between an Italian officer exposed to radiation in Kosovo and a young girl to whom he teaches the art of reading the future in the clouds.
Produced by the Florentine companies Methodvisuals and ESC Studio Editoriale, “Nuvole” blends cinema and literature into a poetic work that transports the viewer into a suspended world rich in symbolism. Thanks to the support of Panatronics, Laowa, Blueshape and The Wylie Agency, the short film was made in just one day with minimal resources but enormous passion.
“Nuvole” will be screened at the Florence International Film Festival on December 14, 2024, and will then be distributed for free online by the end of the year, giving everyone the opportunity to discover it.
