"Nuvole": the Florentine short film inspired by Antonio Tabucchi

“Nuvole” is an independent short film that pays tribute to the works of Antonio Tabucchi, twelve years after his passing.
Inspired by a short story by the Tuscan author, the film explores the encounter between an Italian officer exposed to radiation in Kosovo and a young girl
to whom he teaches the art of reading the future in the clouds.

Produced by the Florentine companies Methodvisuals and ESC Studio Editoriale, “Nuvole” blends cinema and literature into a poetic work that transports the viewer
into a suspended world rich in symbolism.
Thanks to the support of Panatronics, Laowa, Blueshape and The Wylie Agency, the short film was made in just one day with minimal resources but enormous passion.

The film has already received significant international recognition: it won Best Narrative Short Film at the Cannes World Film Festival and the  Bangkok Society of Film Critic’s Award.
It has been selected for prestigious events such as the Florence International Film Festival, the Short to the Point in Bucarest, the Vienna International Film Awards,
the Motion Pictures International Film Festival, the T.I.F.A. – Tietê International Film Awards in Brazil and the Inner City Short Film Festival di Los Angeles,
as well as receiving multiple nominations at the Veneto International Film Festival.

“Nuvole” will be screened at the Florence International Film Festival on December 14, 2024, and will then be distributed for free online by the end of the year,
giving everyone the opportunity to discover it.
